CartOS Analytics

CartOS Analytics gives you insight into how your store is performing. The dashboard provides a quick snapshot of key metrics, while Reports offers detailed analysis for deeper dives into your data.

The Dashboard

Your admin dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in. It's designed to give you a quick pulse check on your store without clicking through multiple pages.

Key metrics

The top of the dashboard displays your most important numbers at a glance:

  • Total Sales – Revenue generated in the selected time period
  • Orders – Number of orders placed
  • Average Order Value – Mean revenue per order
  • Conversion Rate – Percentage of visitors who made a purchase

Each metric shows the current value along with a comparison to the previous period, so you can quickly see if things are trending up or down.

Sales chart

Below the key metrics, a sales chart visualizes your revenue over time. Toggle between daily, weekly, or monthly views depending on the timeframe you're analyzing. Hover over any point to see exact figures for that day or period.

Date range

Use the date picker in the top right to change the time period. Common presets include Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, and Last Month. You can also set a custom date range for specific analysis.

When you change the date range, all dashboard metrics and charts update to reflect that period. Comparison percentages adjust to compare against the equivalent previous period.

Recent activity

The dashboard also shows recent orders and activity, giving you a live feed of what's happening in your store. Click any order to jump directly to its detail page.

Quick Actions

Quick Actions is your shortcut menu for common tasks and deeper tools. Access it from the Quick Actions button in your admin header or sidebar. From here you can jump to frequently used pages, create new products or orders, and access Reports.

Working with reports

Filtering

Most reports support filters to narrow down the data. Filter by date range, product, collection, customer segment, sales channel, or other dimensions depending on the report. Combine multiple filters to answer specific questions about your business.

Comparisons

Enable comparison mode to see how a metric performs against a previous period. This makes it easy to spot growth, seasonality, or the impact of changes you've made to your store.

Exporting data

Export any report to CSV for further analysis in a spreadsheet or for sharing with your team. Click the Export button to download the current report with all applied filters.

Saving custom reports

If you frequently run the same report with specific filters, save it as a custom report. Configure the report how you want it, then click Save Report. Your saved reports appear in the Reports menu for quick access.

Real-time data

Dashboard metrics update in near real-time—new orders appear within seconds. Reports may have a slight delay (usually a few minutes) as data is processed for accurate aggregation.

For live monitoring during sales events or launches, keep your dashboard open. It will automatically refresh to show new activity.

Connecting external analytics

CartOS analytics focuses on commerce data. For broader website analytics—bounce rates, session duration, detailed user flows—you may want to connect Google Analytics or another analytics platform.

Go to Settings › Integrations to add your Google Analytics tracking ID. Once connected, CartOS sends e-commerce events to GA, giving you the best of both: commerce-specific insights in CartOS and comprehensive web analytics in Google Analytics.
