Stripe is the recommended payment provider for CartOS stores. It supports credit cards, digital wallets, and many local payment methods.
Setting up Stripe
- Go to Settings → Payments
- Click Connect Stripe
- Create a Stripe account or sign in to existing
- Complete Stripe's onboarding
- Return to CartOS
Stripe fees
Stripe charges processing fees directly. CartOS does not add any additional merchant processing fees. Standard Stripe rates are 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (varies by country).
Supported payment methods
With Stripe, you can accept:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.)
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Link (Stripe's one-click checkout)
- Regional methods (varies by country)
Payouts
Stripe deposits funds to your bank account on a regular schedule (typically 2 business days in the US). Configure payout settings in your Stripe dashboard.
Stripe Terminal (POS)
For in-person sales, CartOS integrates with Stripe Terminal hardware. See Hardware for CartOS POS.
Managing Stripe
Access your Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com to:
- View transactions and payouts
- Handle disputes
- Configure settings
- Download reports
