Bolts are modular apps that extend your CartOS store's functionality. Think of them as plugins or extensions that add specific features to your store.
What are Bolts?
Bolts are self-contained modules that integrate seamlessly with your CartOS store. They can add features like:
- Customer reviews
- Wishlists
- A/B testing
- Shipping protection
- Marketing automation
- And much more
How Bolts differ from traditional apps
Unlike third-party apps on other platforms, many Bolts are:
- Built by CartOS: Optimized for performance and security
- Included in your plan: No additional monthly fees for core Bolts
- Natively integrated: Work seamlessly with your store and each other
Managing Bolts
To view and manage Bolts:
- Go to Quick Actions → Bolts in your admin
- Browse available Bolts
- Click a Bolt to view details and enable it
Bolt settings
Each Bolt has its own settings page where you can configure how it works. Access Bolt settings from the Bolts section or directly from the relevant area (e.g., Reviews Bolt settings from Products). Some Bolts may require configuration in your theme's customizer as well.
